Student Feature - Madeleine Kelly

I am from Minneapolis, MN. I'm a senior in Aviation Management.

My grandpa owned a Luscombe 8 airplane and took me up for my first flight when I was seven years old. And as I got older, I took a ton of Young Eagles flights at South Saint Paul Fleming Field. I then found out that I could do this for the rest of my life, so I applied to Minnesota State University, Mankato, and I've been loving it here ever since. I loved flying, but I realized that I love the management side of aviation a bit more than piloting. So, I decided that aviation management would be right for me!

My favorite thing has been all the opportunities I'm able to do. I've toured different parts of MSP airport multiple times, I've spoken with professionals in the industry, and that has helped me get my internship at Delta Air Lines! I cannot thank my professors and advisors at MNSU enough for all that they've done for me so I can be able to have this amazing opportunity at Delta!

As an Aviation Management major, I have a ton of options for me when I graduate. I definitely want to see if I can work in Flight Safety at Delta Air Lines or at Endeavor Air. I love the people and culture at Delta, so I want to continue to be a part of the company. And Endeavor has a similar culture since Delta is their parent company. So, I'm really hoping to work for either company, but I'm definitely keeping my options open.
