TIPS for a great
scholarship application

SHARE YOUR STORY
Scholarships are searching for what makes you a unique flight student! Sharing your personal story and your "why" can go far when trying to stand out as a scholarship applicant.

SHARE YOUR CHALLENGES
Why are you applying for this specific scholarship? What will receiving this scholarship do for you in the long run, both for your flight training and future career? Sharing your current financial struggles and how receiving this scholarship will help alleviate them will strengthen
your "why."

KEEP IN MIND
Scholarships award winners are not always based on GPA. Your story, personal growth and dedication to your flight training and education are most important when applying
for scholarships.

UPLOAD A PHOTO
Whenever possible, upload a high-resolution, professional, aviation-centered photo of yourself along with your application. Putting a face to a name can help you stand out among other applicants and provides that extra personal touch.

IF AWARDED A SCHOLARSHIP
Whenever possible, do your best to attend the acceptance banquet if you are awarded a scholarship. Writing a handwritten thank you to the donors or organization is also a great way to show your appreciation and gratitude for the scholarship.
